Matching sets are the best. Seriously. Whenever I feel like I have nothing to wear, I just put one on and I feel instantly put together. No thought required. This set, in particular, from LF Stores has been going through regular rotation in my wardrobe lately. The halter neckline and high-cut front of the shorts make me look slimmer and taller. Plus, since they’re separates, I can mix and match with other pieces in my wardrobe. Versatile? Check. Slimming? Check. Illusion of height? Check. What’s not to love?
If you don’t already have a matching set in your closet, now is the perfect time to stock up!
Quick shoutout to the girl at the LF Stores in Larchmont, who dug up this set for me. The mounds of clothes in the store were overwhelming and I don’t even know how you managed to find this. Bless your soul.

I’ve been in dire need of a new wallet, but I had never found a suitable replacement until I laid my eyes on this beauty. I have also had my eyes on those boots and jeans for a while, but unless I magically receive thousands of dollars tomorrow, I won’t be purchasing them anytime soon. In the meantime, I’ll just let my bookmarks pile up in my imaginary dream closet.

One of my favorite items in my closet has got to be my mom’s vintage button-up. With the hidden buttons and pleats, the details give a unique spin on the classic button-up. This shirt can be dressed up with a skirt and heels or dressed down with a pair of shorts and sandals. Its versatility is amazing and it proves that classic pieces are so worth the investment.
For today’s outfit, I’m pairing my classic button-up with pink lace shorts and these amazing Isabel Marant style sandals. Ever since I got my hands on these babies, I’ve been wearing them non-stop. They look great and they’re extremely comfortable. Hard to believe that they’re from Forever 21, but I can’t say no to a good bargain.

Thigh-high slits, deep v-necks, over the knee boots, and lacy masks. Oh my. Is that you Target?
Taking a cue from the unexpected, Target’s latest high fashion collaboration is with the young and talented Altuzarra. Launching his first collection in 2008, Mr. Joseph Altuzarra has quickly risen in the ranks of the fashion world with his latest achievement being his win for the 2014 CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year. Altuzarra for Target includes almost 50 pieces of impeccable design, with nothing going over $100. And seeing that his ready-to-wear collection ranges from $700-$6000, that’s just pure insanity. I’m sold.
Altuzarra for Target is sexy, feminine, and seductive. It’s honestly not the type of clothing you’d expect to see when you’re rolling into Target looking for emergency toothpaste and chips. But hey, Target is stepping up their game. My two favorites are the Maxi Dress in the Orchid Print and the Black Satin Cami set. First of all, the cami set comes with the mask that’s on the model. How freaking cool is that? And the maxi dress looks the most luxe and expensive piece out of the collection. I’ve had my eyes on it ever since the preview pictures for the collection came out. Now I just need help justifying this purchase. When/Where would I ever wear this dress? Somebody help me out.
Altuzarra for Target launches September 14th at Target, Target.com, and Net-A-Porter.
