Babe Magnet

I’m back!!! As you may or may not have noticed, the blog crashed about a week ago and I think it has finally stabilized so I can start regularly posting again. I don’t think this blog gets enough traffic for people to notice that it broke, but thanks for your patience anyways!

Now to the subject at hand. This crop top is everything. At least to my wardrobe at the moment. I’ve been eyeing Lovers + FriendsΒ for a little over a year now and I’ve become infatuated with their fun prints, design, and aesthetics. Never being able to stomach the price tags attached to their beautiful clothes, I finally cracked when I saw this crop top and it was somewhat in my price range (albeit it still stung a little when I bought it). At first, the top seemed obnoxious to me when I saw “Babe” emblazoned across the front, but once I saw the back, I had a change of heart. The top is both sporty and cheeky and it’s a great conversation starter when you wear it out. I found it to be surprisingly versatile, pairing it with boyfriend jeans to faux leather skirts. Ugh. This top can do no wrong.

Tasty Thursday: Brenda’s French Soul Food

Nestled in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco, Brenda’s easily has one of the best brunches in the city. But, you’ve got to be out of your mind if you don’t think it’s the best. If you can stomach the wait, then you’re in for the greatest ride your taste buds have ever experienced. Trust me, that 90 minute wait is no joke.

Brenda’s is the type of restaurant where you’re either all in or you’re out. There’s no room for calorie counting or gluten-free requests. Because soul food. The menu ranges from fried chicken benedict, pulled pork benedict, molasses ham, and catfish. A heaping serving of grits or hash can be your side also. And the beignets. My god. They are insanely large for beignets. If your stomach doesn’t explode after your entree, then the beignets will do the trick. The beignets can only be ordered in sets of 4 so you might as well try them all. For me, it’s a tie between the crawfish beignet and Ghirardelli chocolate beignet.

Looking at these pictures makes me hungry all over again.

Paradise Cove

I find myself reaching for this tank over and over again. The worn in look and feel with “California Paradise Cove” etched into the tank is the epitome of the effortless style of Southern California. Paired with a slinky kimono and striped shorts, this outfit is my default when I want to look relaxed but somewhat put together.

Recap: BeautyCon Los Angeles

I am absolutely smitten by these heels. The scalloped edges, the laser cuts, and the lace up structure of the heels are sexy and understated. The perfect statement heels. The romper is cute too, but really, shoes are everything.

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to attend BeautyCon in Los Angeles! For those who don’t know, BeautyCon is a convention where beauty vendors, makeup artists, Youtube gurus, and celebrities come together to showcase the fashion and beauty industry. With numerous free items, photo booths, meet and greets, and most importantly, an open bar, I had a fabulous time! I would highly recommend attending the next BeautyCon event in New York or Los Angeles!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Shades Of Green

Hi everyone!

I wore this outfit on my recent trip to San Francisco. I attended Outside Lands and it was pretty rad. I only went for one day, but I was smitten with the laid-back environment, Golden Gate Park, and Arctic Monkeys. They were the epitome of amazing.

I love wearing different shades of one color. I feel the resulting look is more streamlined and chic. It lets you utilize the items in your closet that you thought would only match with your basic black, white, and grey. It’s also a great way to add a pop of color to your look!

Hope you’re having a wonderful Wednesday and thanks for reading!
